Bogna McGarrigle, MM, MA, serves as the Music Director and Organist at the Church of the Epiphany in New York City.
Bogna began playing the piano at the age of seven in her home town in Poland. In high school she studied music education and piano. In 1998, she continued her studies in Dalcroze Eurthythmics in the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland. In 2003, she graduated from the Academy of Music in Kraków with a Master’s Degree with honors in Sacred Music and Choir Conducting.
While in school, she served as Organist and Choir Director at the Jesuits Sacred Heart Basilica in Kraków. In 2008, Bogna received a Master’s of Music in Organ Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music. She was awarded Charles Nichols Foundation Tuition Scholarship and The Kościuszko Foundation scholarship. In 2009, she completed her Master’s Degree in Organ Performance at the Academy of Music in Kraków.
Bogna has performed at various Polish and American organ festivals and has given solo recitals in churches and concert halls in Buffalo, Rochester, New York City, Italy, Slovenia and Poland. She has also attended and performed at various master classes and summer courses in Europe and the US.
While at Eastman, Bogna was the organist at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencerport, NY. Later she served as Music Director at St. Frances de Chantal in the Bronx and St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Katonah, NY. She lives with her husband Peter and daughter Basia in Tappan, NY.
