Marko Pranic is a senior at the University of Rochester, where he is finishing his degree in music. He studied organ performance at the Eastman School of Music. His teachers include David Higgs, Edoardo Bellotti, Lawrence Strohm and Bruce Frank.
Marko has performed in Croatia, Italy and United States. He recently played in masterclass by Roberto Antonello (Italy) on organ music of Domenico Zipoli. Marko also studied voice performance with Ante Ivic (tenor, Croatian National Theatre, Split, Croatia).
He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees (STB/BA/MA) in Philosophy and Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Italy.
He is member of the Rochester Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, American National Association of Pastoral Musicians and the American Institute of Organbuilders.
His previous positions include organist at St. Stephen's Cathedral in Hvar (Croatia), St. Barbara and St. Nikola Tavelic churches in Zagreb (Croatia) and Salem UCC and St. Boniface in Rochester (NY). He is currently organist at St. John of Rochester, in Fairport, New York, and apprentice at Parsons Pipe Organ Builders, in Canandaigua, NY.
