Mark Thallander is a free-lance organist, composer, and author; President, The Mark Thallander Foundation (www.MarkThallanderFoundaton.org); and President, Honorary Board, National Children's Chorus. He resides in Palm Springs, California and Ogunquit, Maine.
Mr. Thallander is probably best known for his ministry at The Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California. During his 18-year tenure at the church, he coordinated the 1,000 voices for the gala dedication of the Hazel Wright Organ (then the largest church pipe organ in the world), and participated in both the 10th and 20th anniversary celebrations of the organ. For the 50th anniversary of the congregation, he served with Frederick Swann as co-editor of the Crystal Cathedral Golden Collection.
Mr. Thallander also served as Associate Minister of Worship at Menlo Park (California) Presbyterian Church and as Director of Music and Organist at Lake Avenue Congregational Church, Pasadena, California. He was Assistant Professor of Music at Vanguard University of Southern California, Costa Mesa, and Faculty/Artist-in-Residence at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. He is listed in the 60th Anniversary Diamond Edition of
Who’s Who in America,
Who’s Who in American Education and
Who’s Who in Distinguished Professionals. Additionally, he is included in
Outstanding Young Men in America.
Mark Thallander holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanguard University of Southern California, where he has held offices as both President and Treasurer of the Alumni Association. At Vanguard University, a fully endowed organ scholarship has been established in Mr. Thallander's honor. His Master of Arts degree in music was earned at California State University, Long Beach; and he has taken additional graduate study at the University of Southern California.
Andrew McKeon is the Director of Music at Saint John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Center Moriches, New York. He is a graduate of Five Towns College in Dix Hills, New York, where he studied voice, organ, piano, and audio engineering. He continues his organ studies with Daniel Brondel.
Mr. McKeon has also performed with the Saint Patrick's Cathedral Choir, the Archdiocesan Choir of Philadelphia, The Long Island Choral Society, and The Diocesan Choir of Rockville Center. These opportunities brought him to perform at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Saint Agnes Cathedral (Rockville Center), The Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul (Philadelphia), Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, and Saint Malachy's (New York City).
Mr. McKeon is a native to the south shore of Long Island and performs collaborative concerts and solo recitals throughout the United States.
