Benjamin Kolodziej is the Organist and Choirmaster at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Dallas, Texas, where he also serves as Chapel Organist at Southern Methodist University. He is also Director of Programs for Church Music Institute of Dallas.
He holds an undergraduate degree in organ performance from SMU, as well as graduate degrees in theology and sacred music, his primary organ teachers having been Robert Anderson, Larry Palmer, Richard DeLong, and George Baker. He is a frequent organist for hymn festivals and organ concerts, having performed many times in the UK as well as in Germany, Austria, Norway, Italy and Switzerland. He was recently appointed the Carl Schalk Scholar in Church Music at Concordia University in Chicago.

Twentieth-Century Organ Music, a
Festschrift honouring Robert T. Anderson. His organ music is published by Concordia, Augsburg, and GIA. He currently serves as co-chair of the 2019 Organ Historical Society convention in Dallas, and is also active in the American Guild of Organists.
