Byongsuk Moon graduated with a degree in organ performance from the Department of Instrumental Music at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. He continued his study in organ at National Music College in Detmold, Germany, obtaining a master's degree and the prestigious Soloist Diploma in Organ.
He completed the coursework in Catholic sacred music at same college and won multiple international organ competitions in Germany, such as the Dom zu Speyer (2nd prize), the Wiesbaden Bach Preis (2nd prize), and the Magdeburg (3nd prize) international organ competions.
He has performed more than 200 concerts, including solo and concerto concerts with symphony orchestras and choirs in major concert halls, churches in South Korea, Germany, The Netherlands, Australia and Poland.
As church organist, he has held positions in Germany and worked as a principal organist at the cathedral of Seoul's Archdiocese in South Korea.
As an educator, he was an adjunct professor in Catholic University and Ewha Women’s University in Seoul.
In March of 2020, he accepted the position of Principal Organist at the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in Knoxville, Tennessee.
