Clayton Roberts serves as Associate Director of Music and Principal Organist at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, a large thriving parish in Houston, Texas.
Clayton holds a Bachelor of Music from Utah State University and a Master of Music from the University of Houston. His teachers include Ethelyn Peterson, Dr. Matthew Dirst, and Dr. Robert Bates. Clayton has competed and placed in various national and international organ competitions including the Young Professionals Division of The Albert Schweitzer Organ Festival and the Miami International Organ Competition.
Recently Clayton served as the consultant for and oversaw the installation of a new pipe organ for St. John Vianney. The instrument of 4-manuals and 62 ranks was built by Austin Organs, Inc. of Hartford, Connecticut.
In addition to his playing, Clayton composes service music that is used in weekly liturgies and works with the various choral ensembles at St. John Vianney.
