Daniele Ferretti graduated in organ, piano, composition and conducting at the conservatories of Alessandria and Turin. He studied conducting with Piero Bellugi in Florence and film scoring with Luis Bacalov at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome.
As a composer and arranger he earned prizes in international competitions and took courses by Oscar-winners Luis Bacalov and Ennio Morricone. He collaborates with the Diocesan Liturgical-Musical Institute of Asti as artistic director and as organ teacher (idilim.it).
He is organist in the Armoniosa ensemble, an instrumental group dedicated to Baroque music (armoniosaensemble.com). As a solo organist and as continuo player with the Armoniosa ensemble, he has given concerts in Italy and abroad (Spain, Croatia, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Denmark, Poland at the Philharmonie Academy of Gdansk, Austria at the Mozarteum in Salzburg). He has participated in various recordings made by Armoniosa, including the complete work of the concertos for violin and orchestra by Vivaldi, La stravaganza, op. 4, also by Vivaldi, and the trio sonatas for violin and cello by Giovanni Benedetto Platti. In 2018 he recorded Vivaldi's opera Estro Armonico with Armoniosa.
He teaches theory, rhythm and music appreciation at the State Conservatory of Music “G. F. Ghedini” of Cuneo.
