Seung Hee Cho holds a Doctorate of Musical Art in Organ Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music and additional post-doctorate studies in choral and orchestral conducting. She studied organ with Russel Saunders, Michael Farris, David Higgs, and conducting with Mendi Rodan & William Weinert. Dr. Cho received several honors, including Hauskin’s Memorial Scholarship, John Rodland Memorial Scholarship, and International Organ Competition in Japan.
She has concertized throughout the United States and broadcasted occasionally on public radio stations in New York and Michigan.
As a veteran church musician, she has served over 25 years as the director of music and organist in several churches in New York, Philadephia, Michigan, and Virginia. Dr. Cho currently works as the Minister of Music and Organist at Christ Church New Brunswick. She maintains a busy schedule directing three different choirs, and performing and recording on a beautiful organ (Bruce Fowke's op. 12) for all services and special concerts, like Independence Day.
