Simon Leach is a prize-winning graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music and a former Organ Scholar at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King, Liverpool. As a solo organist, he has performed in many of the concert halls and cathedrals throughout the United Kingdom and Europe, most notably at Westminster Cathedral, London, and the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris. He is delighted to be able to return to New York, having previously played at both St Patrick’s Cathedral and The Church of St Thomas, 5th Avenue.
Simon has regularly played for BBC Radio 4 Services and has also enjoyed opportunities to play on national television. His solo organ performances of Naji Hakim’s music have been broadcast on BBC Radio 3. His recordings have received excellent reviews from both sides of the Atlantic.
He has given several world premieres of music by both Naji Hakim and Helen Leach.
Simon is the organist at the Canongate Kirk, Edinburgh, and at Marchmont House in the Scottish Borders.
