Stephen Fraser is Director of Music and Organist at
St. Malachy’s Church – The Actors’ Chapel, where he proudly directs two of Manhattan’s finest choral ensembles,
The Actors’ Chapel Choir and
The Creston Singers. He is also musical director for
Broadway Blessing and is Founding Director of the
Salvatones Young Voices. A native of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, he has completed degrees in music at the University of Toronto, the Eastman School of Music, and Yale University. This Fall, he will begin his Doctor of Music studies at The Manhattan School of Music with Kent Tritle. In New York, Stephen has served as Director of Music at
The Church of the Holy Trinity (Episcopal), and Assistant Organist at
St. Patrick’s Cathedral. As a composer, he won the 2008 American Guild of Organists/ECS Publishing Award in Choral Composition. In 2015, he won the 2
nd prize in the 2
nd International Competition for Sacred Music Pope Benedict XVI.
