The
Mass of the Last Supper on
Holy Thursday,
March 29, 2018, will be celebrated by
Archbishop of New York Timothy Cardinal Dolan at
St. Patrick’s Cathedral at
5:30 PM. Following the Mass there will be a procession with the Blessed Sacrament through the Cathedral to the Repository at the Lady Chapel for Adoration and prayer.
Good Friday,
March 30, 2018 will begin with the
Tenebrae service at
9:00 AM.
Monsignor Robert T. Ritchie will lead the congregation in prayer. The
Meditation on the Seven Last Words will begin at
12:00 PM with
Timothy Cardinal Dolan presiding and
Bishop John O’Hara delivering the mediations. The service will conclude at
3:00PM.
The
Celebration of the Passion of the Lord will begin at
3:30 PM with
Timothy Cardinal Dolan as the principal celebrant. The solemn celebration consists of a series of readings, the liturgy of the Word, solemn intercessions, and the Adoration of the Holy Cross. The service concludes with the distribution of Holy Communion.

The
Easter Vigil of the Lord’s Resurrection will be celebrated on
Saturday, March 31, 2018 at
8:00 PM. The celebration will include the blessing of the fire, the lighting of the Paschal candle, and the reception of the sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation by new members of the Catholic Church.
Easter Sunday Mass will begin at
10:15 AM on
Sunday, April 1, 2018 in the main Sanctuary of
St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
Timothy Cardinal Dolan will be the principal celebrant.
