Jennifer Pascual is the Director of Music and Organist at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York. She is joined in this recording by her colleague Lynn Trapp who is Director of Liturgy and Music at Saint Joseph Church in Baltimore, and an organist at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Baltimore. The recording features organ music for four hands and feet and is recorded on the pipe organ at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York.

The organ music they play spans a wide period of compositional styles. From works by Mozart to a contemporary composition by Ralf Bölting. There is something for everyone on this CD from standard organ literature to more well known works like John Philip Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever” to Richard Wagner’s “The Ride of the Valkyries”. There are some works for a single organist playing but many of the works were written as duets for four hands and four feet like Gustav Merkel’s Sonata in d minor. Orchestral works like Saint-Saëns “Danse Macabre” or Richard Wagner’s “The Ride of the Valkyries” take on a new dimension when played with four hands and four feet.

Christmas Carols for Organ and Trumpet 

Dr. Jennifer Pascual, Music Director at Saint Patrick's Cathedral in New York City, plays some of the most beloved music for the Chritmas Season along with trumpets played by Angela Gosse and James Lake. 

The CD includes hymns, such as "O Come All Ye Faithful," "Angels We Have Heard on High" and "Hark! The Hearlad Angels Sing," as well as excepts from Tchaikovsky's  Nutcracker Suite, Op. 71 transcribed for organ.

The Glory of the Organ 

Daniel Brondel is the Associate Director of Music at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. On this CD he plays popular organ works that show off the full dynamic range of the Cathedral's Kilgen Pipe Organ, including "Grand Chœr Dialogué" by Gigout and "Toccata" from Symphony No. 5 by Charles-Marie Widor. 

The first track on the CD showcases the “new” Triforium Trumpet installed during the Peragallo cleaning and rebuilding of the pipe organ in 1997. A.R. Schopp’s Sons built this high pressure trumpet stop for the Peragallo firm.

Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee 

The Saint Patrick's Cathedral Choir has produced a CD - its first in several years. The CD is a mix of favorite hymns and Mass VIII (also known as the Missa de Angelis) and several anthems based on Latin Chants. 

The choir is directed by Jennifer Pascual and accompanied by Daniel Brondel on the cathedral's Kilgen Pipe Organ. The CD is packaged in a digipack and has short essays on the history of the organ in the cathedral, bios of the musicians and a write up on the choir.

Michael T. C. Hey plays the Great Organ of Saint Patrick's Cathedral in New York

Michael T. C. Hey serves as Associate Director of Music and Organist at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York. He recently won first prize in the Shanghai Conservatory First International Organ Competition.

The music recorded on the CD represents a wide range of musical compositional styles and includes a premier recording. The disc fully demonstrates both the artist’s formidable technique and musicianship. The CD includes works by Sigfrid Karg-Elert, Max Reger, and the premier recording of "Psalm 30" by Ryan Dodge. The disc is full of one winning interpretation after another.

Organ Music & Gregorian Chant 

Dr. Jennifer Pascual, Music Director at Saint Patrick's Cathedral in New York City, plays some of the greatest music created for the organ that is based on Gregorian Chant. 

Dr. Pascual has prodigious keyboard skills and gives definitive performances of these works. She also conducts the men of the choir in the Gregorian Chant that is heard on this CD. The works by Dupré, Duruflé and Guilmant are presented here as they would have been heard in the Roman Catholic liturgy before Vatican II. 

The CD comes with a 32 page booklet that contains detailed program notes, an interview with Dr. Pascual, a well researched history of the organs at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, a full stoplist and numerous photographs.
